SOLA Inspire Schools Roadshow

This role model programme targeted 12-16 year olds and placed Spirit of London Awards ambassadors in the school environment to deliver inspirational workshops.

In an hour-long workshop, three SOLA Ambassadors and one SOLA Celebrity Ambassador talked about their work and shared their experience of being recognised by SOLA for their achievements. The session was delivered in two parts and consisted of a chat-show style interview with each individual Ambassador followed by an interactive question and answer panel.

The aim was for students to:

• Be inspired to pursue positive interests

• Appreciate the value of effort, hard work and positive choices needed to succeed in life

• Understand future career pathways

• Be exposed to a variety of potential career paths

The programme was rolled out to 10 schools across London in 2012 with 150-250 pupils per session.
